Accepting these terms
These terms apply when you use the Brickline Vacaville Concrete and Masonry website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for work. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or request our services.
When we sign a written contract with you for a specific job, that contract governs the job. If anything in the contract differs from these terms, the contract wins.
What we do
Brickline Vacaville Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Vacaville, CA. We do brick, block, stone and concrete work for homeowners in Vacaville and the cities around it, including repair, restoration and new construction. Our home page lists the services we offer, and our about page tells you more about our crew.
The descriptions, photos and general information on this site explain the kinds of work we do. They aren't a promise that a particular service, material or result fits your house. That depends on what we find when we look at your job in person.
Estimates and pricing
We give free on-site estimates, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, and it covers the scope, materials and price we write down.
Masonry work sometimes turns up conditions nobody could see beforehand, such as damaged footings, rotted framing behind a wall or soil that won't hold. If that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and explain the options before doing extra work. We won't charge for added work you haven't approved in writing.
An estimate stays valid for the period written on it. After that, material costs and our schedule may have changed, so we may need to update it before you accept.
Scheduling, delays and cancellation
We schedule work once you've accepted an estimate or signed a contract. Start and finish dates are our best plan, not a guarantee, because masonry depends on weather, material deliveries, permit and inspection timing and what we find once the job is open. We'll tell you as soon as we know a date is moving.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please tell us as early as you can by calling (707) 452-3329 or using our contact page. If you cancel after we've ordered custom or special-order materials or started work, you may owe for those materials and the work already done, as your contract describes. Any cancellation rights California law gives you for a home improvement contract still apply.
We may reschedule or pause a job when weather or site conditions would make the work unsafe or hurt its quality, such as rain on fresh mortar or concrete.
Payment
Your contract sets out the price, any deposit, any progress payments and when the final balance is due. Any deposit or payment schedule will follow California's rules for home improvement contracts.
Final payment is due when the work described in the contract is complete, unless your contract says otherwise. If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's paid, and we may use the remedies California law allows a contractor, including a mechanics lien on the property.
Warranties and what they don't cover
We stand behind our workmanship, and any written warranty for your job will be in your contract. Materials such as brick, block, stone, pavers, mortar and sealers carry the warranties their makers give, and we'll pass those along to you.
A workmanship warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our work, such as ground settling or movement we didn't build on, tree roots, drainage problems on the property, earthquakes, flooding, vehicles, misuse or changes someone else makes later. Natural stone and brick also vary in color and texture, and new mortar and concrete can look different from older work nearby as they cure and weather. Those differences aren't defects.
Except for the written warranties in your contract and any warranty California law requires, our website and services are provided as they are, without other promises, express or implied.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we're responsible for the work we do. To the extent California law allows, Brickline Vacaville Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, and our total liability for a job won't exceed the amount you paid us for that job.
We're also not responsible for how you use the general information on this website. It's there to help you understand masonry work, not to replace an in-person look at your house.
If we disagree
If you're unhappy with our work, call us first at (707) 452-3329 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems get settled quickly when we come out, look at it together and agree on a fix.
If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in Solano County before going to court, unless your contract sets a different process. Nothing here takes away your right to file a complaint with the state licensing board or to use small claims court.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case will be brought in the courts that serve Solano County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a contract you've already signed with us.
If you have a question about these terms, call (707) 452-3329 or send us a note through our contact page.
